What is a cable cover?
A cable cover can be used to protect important wires and cables when needed most. Made from a tough rubber material our cable covers provide excellent protection to wires where they would normally be exposed to the likes of pedestrian traffic or vehicles traffic. Damaged wires and cables can cost a company a lot of money, especially if production on a particular job or site suddenly has to come to a halt. A typical example of a sturdy cable cover is the HR2 Hose Cable Protection Ramp.
Fitted with 2 channels for protecting hoses and cables internally each cable cover can be quickly and easily deployed straight out of a truck or van – when deployed each unit can be connected end on end with another unit to form a continuous ramp that protects length upon length of cable or wire. Made with the toughest of rubber these cable covers can withstand up to 44 tonnes of HGV traffic and utilise an easy to use lid which allows for quick and easy access to the interior when needed.
Protecting cables mounted on a wall or vertical surface is also made quite easy here at Pittman with the wall mounted drain protector. This steel cable cover can be mounted direct to a wall in order to cover pipes or cables that may be running vertically up a wall. Quick and easy to install these cable covers are available in a plain galvanised version or a black and yellow version which are perfect for indoor or outdoor use and can protect cables and wires from impacting vehicles or machinery.
